Joanna Scarangello: Coro Vivo Program Director
Ms. Scarangello received her Master of Arts in Music Education from Montclair State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Lycoming College. She is currently employed by the Mount Olive School District, where she serves as the Choral Director for the 340+ member middle school choral program and serves as an Assistant Choral Director at the high school.
An active classical mezzo-soprano, Ms. Scarangello has most recently been seen performing with Clarum Sonum (The True Story of Cinderella, First Stepsister), New Jersey Conservatory Chamber Choir (Bach B Minor Mass, Mezzo-Soprano soloist), Light Opera of New Jersey (Amahl and the Night Visitors, Orpheus in the Underworld), Opera for Humanity “Lucia di Lammermoor, Chorus; A Night of Opera, Recital), and has had the honor of working with conductors such as Andrew McGill, James Litton, and David Gilbert. She had the privilege of premiering the work The Spheres at Play by Dr. Fred Thayer in 2008. Ms. Scarangello is a proud member of NAfME and ACDA.
