Sola Voce Hosts NJ Youth Choir Collaboration
Our NJ Youth Choir Collaboration at Montclair State University on October 15th was a smashing success. NJYC’s Sola Voce, The Apprentice Chorus of the Newark Boys Chorus, The Children’s Choir of Sussex County’s Bella Voce, and the Quarter Notes from the Princeton Girl Choir, all participated in a day of workshops and rehearsals. We wrapped it up with each of the four choirs performing individually, then coming together to perform a song composed for the festival by our clinician, Tom Shelton, Assistant Professor of Sacred Music at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. It was absolutely beautiful, as you can hear:
